Graduation Day Ceremony Successfully Conducted for Cycle Assembling, Repairing & Two-Wheeler Puncture Facility Training Programme

The Tamilnadu Differently Abled Federation Charitable Trust (TNDFCT), in partnership with United Way Hyderabad, successfully organized the Graduation Day Ceremony for the Cycle Assembling, Repairing & Two-Wheeler Puncture Facility Training Programme on 30 July 2026 at 4.00 PM at FEDABLED Hall, Ekkattuthangal, Chennai.

The programme marked the successful completion of vocational skill training by 25 Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), equipping them with practical skills in cycle assembling, cycle repair, and two-wheeler puncture servicing to enhance their employability and self-employment opportunities.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. M. Arul Prakasam, MLA, Saidapet Constituency, as the Chief Guest. He congratulated all the trainees for their dedication and encouraged them to utilize their newly acquired skills to build sustainable livelihoods. During the event, he distributed Course Completion Certificates and professional tool kits worth ₹20,000 each to all 25 trainees, enabling them to immediately begin their careers or establish self-employment ventures.

The programme was attended by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Francis Bastin, Senior Advisor, TNDFCT, and Mr. Freddy D’Cruz, Managing Director, Tamilvoice.in, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of skill development in empowering persons with disabilities.

The event commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by welcome and presidential addresses by the TNDFCT leadership. The Secretary of TNDFCT presented an overview of the training programme, its objectives, implementation process, and the positive impact expected on the lives of the beneficiaries.

This initiative was made possible through the generous CSR support of United Way Hyderabad, whose continued partnership with TNDFCT is creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities. The training programme reflects a shared commitment to promoting inclusive skill development, economic independence, and dignity through employment.
