“Makizhchi Pongal”: A Joyful Celebration with 50 Disabled Families
On 10.01.2024, Tamilnadu Differently Abled Federation Charitable Trust (TNDFCT) and All Govt.services Differently Abled Employees Welfare Association (GODABLED) jointly organised a Makizhchi Pongal celebration for 50 disabled couples and their children. The festival was held at Fedabled Arrangam, and all 50 couples with their children participated in the event. The organisers distributed new sarees, dhotis, and a pack of Pongal gift to the couples, while a cash gift of Rs. 500 was given for kids’ dresses.
Several notable personalities attended the event, including Mr. Dilipkumar, an astrologist; Mr. Sathiyan, a music director; Mr. Parthasarathy Dy. Secretary, DMDK, and Mrs. Jayalakshi, Founder Annai Illam, who graced the occasion. The disabled couples also performed various cultural events.
More than 300 people were served a delicious breakfast and lunch during the event. TNDFCT thanked all the donors and the couples who participated in the event for making it a great success.
