TNDFCT organised and conducted two disabled couples’ marriages with the support of Mr.V. K. Varman and his friends on April 27, 2023, at Arulmigu Kurunkaleeswarar Kovil Thirumana Manadapam, Koyempedu, Chennai. On this auspicious occasion, Hon’ble Minister Mr. P.K. Sekarbabu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department, launched the new government scheme to provide 4 grammes of gold for the Mangal sutra for the disabled couples who marry at Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department-owned temples and Kalyana mandapams. Seervarisai about 50 items, including a wooden cot, a steel cupboard, mattress, a Mixie, Grinder, utensils, provisions, etc., were distributed to couples, each worth Rs. 1.5 lakh.
